God Bless Bentley

God Bless, Bentley is an investigation into the space around me, in order to gain a greater understanding of what makes the place I now call home a community. It does not seek to come to any significant social or politically motivated conclusions but, is simply a reflection of my interests in suburban landscaping and a way of integrating and communicating with my new space. Created during the Covid-19 pandemic, the making of the photographs was somewhat a pursuit for a certain calmness. The often busy high street did not reflect my feelings during the 12 months in which this project was made and so, I focused on the areas where I could experience quiet moments of reflection that often originated around the many religious buildings in Bentley.”

God Bless Bentley was funded by Doncaster Birdsong project and will be exhibited in the town in July 2021.
